LIBRS Training

Crime in LA, in conjunction with the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association and the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement, now provides several free training courses to officers, deputies, and administrators working in and with Louisiana’s law enforcement agencies. These courses be used in conjunction with one-on-one training and on-the-job learning to improve officer knowledge and agency reporting standards.

Federal Crime Reporting Definitions

This course is divided into lessons on Crimes Against Persons, Crimes Against Property, and Crimes Against Society. By the end of the course, users should have a better understanding of how federal reporting of crimes differs from state- and local-level reporting.

How to Submit Crime in Louisiana

Louisiana has one of the most extensive databases of crime in the United States. This course introduces agencies to the unique way Louisiana handles crime data, and what officers and deputies should be paying attention to as they log information about the crimes they are reporting.

This course includes specialized lessons that introduce administrators and agencies to the power of TrackCrime’s analytics modules. Learn about how TrackCrime collects and processes LIBRS data and submissions and provides visualizations of agencies’ crimes.
