Type of Property Loss
1) Must select a choice from the following drop-down list:

2) When the offense is only Attempted, then Type of Property Loss must be None or Unknown.
3) When Type of Property Loss is None or Unknown, the following data fields must be Blank:

4) When Type of Property Loss is Recovered, then each property entered must first be entered as Stolen. This does not apply to UCR Offense Codes 250 (Obstruction of Justice, Forgery) or 280 (Illegal Possession of Stolen Things).
5) When Type of Property Loss is Burned, Counterfeited or Forged, Destroyed, Damaged or Vandalized, Recovered, Seized or Stolen then the following data fields must have data:
– Property Description
– Value of Property
– Date Recovered
6) If there is only one Crime Against Property offense in an incident, then Type of Property Loss selections must be either all Stolen or all Unknown, but not mixed. For example, if only one UCR Offense Code 220 (Burglary) is reported for an incident, and possibly three pieces of property are stolen, then each item must be reported as Stolen, or the three items are reported as Unknown; but, not two items as Stolen and one item as Unknown.
Property Description Type
1) Must select a Property Description Type when Type of Property Loss is Burned, Counterfeited/Forged, Destoryed/Damaged/Vandalized, Recovered, Seized or Stolen.
2) When a Property Description Type of Pending Inventory is selected, then Value of Property must be $1.00.
Type of Victim
If the offense is connected to a victim, then Type of Victim must be either Individual, Business, Financial Institution, Government, Law Enforcement Officer, Religious Organization, Other or Unknown. The Type of Victim cannot be Society.
